The International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) acknowledges the crucial role music plays in jump rope routines, as well as the complexities involved in navigating copyright laws. To assist athletes in this process, IJRU have partnered with ClicknClear, a trusted music rights service who works with other international sports federations and the International Olympic Committee to solve these problems.

 

IJRU Music Policy

Music is essential to IJRU routines and event productions and must respect the rights of the artists and writers who create it. Other international federations are also addressing copyrighted music usage, and IJRU are committed to doing the same.

 

The IJRU Board of Directors has approved the following music policy for IJRU-sanctioned events:

• Mandatory Music Clearance:
  Music must be cleared for all routines to limit the risk and liabilities to athletes, coaches, NGBs and IJRU. Mandatory Music clearance will be determined on an event-by-event basis until further notice.
